Data Deletion

You can delete your LingoReel account and all the personal data we hold about you at any time. Here’s exactly how, and what happens when you do.

Delete your account from within LingoReel (fastest)

  1. Sign in to LingoReel at app.lingoreel.co.
  2. Open the account menu and go to your Account settings.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

This permanently removes your account, along with your saved words and sentences, your review progress, and your imported-video history. If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first — we ask you to cancel before deleting so you aren’t charged again.

Send a deletion request to support@lingoreel.co from the email address on your account (or the email linked to your Google or Facebook login). We’ll confirm and delete your data within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

Deleting data from a Facebook login

If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove LingoReel’s access from Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, then remove LingoReel. That revokes our access to your Facebook profile going forward. To also erase the data we’ve already stored, delete your account using either method above, or email us — removing the app on Facebook alone does not delete the account records held by LingoReel.

What we delete

  • Your account details (name and email).
  • Your saved words and sentences, and your spaced-repetition review progress.
  • Your imported-video history and any per-account learning data.

We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it (for example, billing and tax records held by our payment provider), and anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer identify you. See our Privacy Policy for detail on retention and your rights.
